Jacquin Trio (and guests)
Time & Location
Following two successful episodes in Season 1, the Jacquin Trio will be returning to the vegetable patch with a brand new collaboration of special guests exploring the best female composers through the ages.
From Clara Schumann to Ethyl Smyth, female composers have been pushed to the edges of music history, and are still woefully underprogramed in modern concerts. This legacy is still felt by modern female classical composers, who are still not performed or recognised at the same level as their male peers.
Our bespoke ensemble will explore some of the best chamber music written by women, featuring trailblazers from history as well as world-class modern female composers such as Hannah Kendall and Libby Larson.
The only group to have won both the Royal Overseas League and St Martin in-the-Fields Competitions, the Jacquin Trio are an audacious classical chamber ensemble, dedicated to exploring, expanding and celebrating music for the
inimitable combination of clarinet, viola/violin and piano.
