About
A world away from their Wigmore Hall comfort zone, the Piatti Quartet will bring their thrillingly virtuosic chamber music to our humble garden. This episode is a chance for the Piattis to show their more playful side, proving that quartets are not just about dinner jackets and clapping in the right place.
As well as a chance to experience a world-class string quartet playing up close, this episode will allow Jessie to join the quartet to explore clarinet quintet repertoire, particularly the works of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The Piatti Quartet are one of the most distinguished quartets of their generation. Prizewinners at the 2015 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, they have performed in all the major venues and festivals around the U.K. and given concerts throughout the world, with national broadcasts on BBC Radio, ABC (Australia), RTÉ (Ireland) and France Musique (France).
